Driver kidnapped his boss relation for not giving him money for Dad's funeral.

A 38-year-old driver, Williams Olowolabi has revealed that he kidnapped his employer’s younger brother because he was denied N100,000 loan to fund his father-in-law's burial.

Olowolabi and his accomplices Segun Teluwo, 30, Ayo Akinola 22, and Akintunde Adedamola were paraded on Tuesday by acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal for allegedly kidnapping Hillary Chukwudumebi and his girlfriend, Rebecca Omokaro"

Popular American day time TV hostess and show producer Wendy Williams fainted in the middle of her show Tuesday morning ... and it happened live on the air.

Wendy was dressed up as the Statue of Liberty for her show, but her Halloween costume got the best of her about 48 minutes into the show. Right in the middle of a sentence ... she stuttered, then got wobbly on her feet before collapsing to the ground.

Wendy's show airs live on the East coast ... so when she passed out, producers quickly cut to black and then a commercial.

When they returned Wendy explained she overheated from her costume. We've learned the fire department responded to the studio. Unclear what her condition is, but she was alright enough to finish the show.

Selling with swag, man in suit spotted selling fruits in Yola, Adamawa

They said the way you dress is the way you will be addressed. In Nigeria we've seen people who dressed up in suit to do menial jobs like hawking and cleaning of cars windscreen in the past. Some of them when interviewed said they want to do their job which some regarded as demeaning with dignity and the only way they can do it is to dress in a way to command respect.

A man was recently spotted in the Adamawa state capital Yola selling his fruits at his shop all in suit. According to Facebook user Bernard Kaigama who shared the man story and pictures on his Facebook wall, the fruit seller said he's motivated to dress in suit because of the way he sees bankers dressed.

A 29 year old man Kehinde Ariyo was on Monday paraded by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping of an 85-year-old woman in Ilesa, Osun State.

The State's Commissioner of Police, Mr Fimihan Adeoye who paraded the suspect said Ariyo raped the aged woman until she passed out, adding that the woman was later resuscitated at a hospital.

CP Adeoye who noted that the old woman sustained injury during the process said that she is responding to treatment in the hospital.

Adeoye assured that the suspect would be prosecuted after necessary investigation.

While fielding questions from journalists, the suspect, Ariyo said he was coming from a night party and that he needed a place to sleep over. Ariyo added that he pleaded with the woman to allow him stay in her place till the morning and that the old woman oblige him.

I wasn't going to post anything about the incident but I saw that something similar happened to another lady recently and awareness needs to be raised - so people can be even more vigilant, and solutions can be sought.
I was driving from VI to Surulere at about 8.30pm on Monday 16th October. I had just driven past Apongbon when I got into heavy traffic. I noticed two men approach the drivers side of the car in front of mine, but the driver was able to swerve away from them. I sensed something was wrong, so I tried to do the same, but was unable to cross to the other lane due to the traffic. The two men walked past my car, I then looked in my rearview mirror and saw one of them look back at my car, and then he turned around and walked back towards me.

Everything happened really fast – he approached my window, smashed the window and started stabbing my arm, saying "give me your phone, give me your bag". I was in shock, terrified and stuck in traffic. I couldn't drive anywhere. I gave him my phone, he continued stabbing my arm. I gave him my bag, and he still continued stabbing my arm.

At some point I was able to drive off, or he ran away (I can't remember which happened first). I was disorientated, scared and was driving quite erratically, hitting other cars trying to get someone's attention. I was screaming for help as my arm was bleeding out. I kept screaming to the other drivers "Help me! I've been stabbed", they just looked, no one helped.

Eventually I rammed into a car in front of me, the man came out of his car, saw the state I was in and proceeded to help me. I can only describe him as being God sent. Out of everybody who was in that traffic only one man took it upon himself to help... I was stabbed 9 times in my arm - for a phone and handbag.

We always hear that the 'ember months are dangerous, but Lagos State, Lagos Police, WHAT IS BEING DONE to prevent these incidents? WHAT IS BEING DONE to reduce the ridiculous traffic that are breeding grounds for these incidents? And people of Lagos, myself included, WHAT ARE WE DOING to be better?

Some persons can be insanely creative or would I say, just crazy. A man who celebrated his birthday in Nigeria made a Halloween themed birthday cake to mark his big day.

He goes by the name Donejexx on the popular picture sharing platform Instagram. The cake looks like a monster and all its intestine sticking out of the body. Anyway, kudos to the baker that made and decorate the cake. It's must have been very challenging to create such cake.

Cult boys breaks a man head for refusing to join them.

A 30 year old man has had his head broken by street cult boys for refusing to join their cult group. According to Sapele Oghenek who shared the story and the picture, they said that the unidentified man who is a civil always mind his business and never associate with the street urchin even with the constant threat and pestering to join them.

The boys had an opportunity to deal with the man when one of the boys stole his phone. In an attempt to protest, the cult boy used a very sharp object to break his head.

A young lady has lost her life in a ghastly motor accident in Umunze in Anambra state. According to FantaBoy Ekwem who shared the post on his Facebook page, he said that the lady died when a bus driver suddenly opened his door and hit a bike man that was carrying the lady and she fell to the ground and was immediately hit by a truck that was following them right behind.

The information reaching our desk right now has it that some unscrupulous thief operating in one shop along Odo Osi street killed one of our Youth Mr Ibikun Adelowo (Pka Aba Eji) in our dear town Ayetoro Ekiti on his way coming back from hunting farm in the midnight.

Also, I want to used this medium to say it categorically that who is so ever operating in our dear town and you think you can kill IBIKUN and go scot free,impossibility can never be possible.

But presently the Nigeria police are fully involved and the case is now under the control of Nigeria police.

A man surnamed Ai from Guiyang City, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, held a special cremation ceremony on Thursday for his gold arowana in a bid to say goodbye to his beloved pet.

According to Mr. Gong, who served in a pet service company in Guiyang, Mr. Ai loves raising fishes, and this gold arowana was bought as a pet a few years ago. With its growth from a small fish with 10 centimeters to 60 centimeters this year, the gold arowana received a lot of love and had become a member of the family. But the fish jumped out of the fish tank accidentally one day, and it died after all rescue measure proved ineffectual.

With great sorrow, Mr. Ai thought it was not appropriate to eat the fish nor throw it away. To offer a decent funeral for its beloved pet, Mr. Ai decided to hold a cremation ceremony for it.

“We have cremated many cats and dogs, but for a fish, this is the first time.” Mr. Gong said.

One Phoebean Joseph has taken to his Facebook page to call out the members of Lagos state university marshall on the way they brutalize the students for no just cause. He said that one of the student was hit with a gun butt and seriously injured by the members of the said marshal.

He wrote, Lagos state university is a den of torture, oppression and tyranny. The campus Marshalls bully, harass, molest and abuse students. The management has given them power and instead of protecting students they use the power against us. You dare not react aggressively, if you do, you'll be shown the gate. If you choose to settle for dialogue, you'll be lied against. Blasphemy is the order of the day.
A student was injured with the butt of gun not quite long. I hope Justice will prevail in this case.

A rogue police officer has landed in hot soup after being accused of Kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl in Anambra state.

PoliticsNGR gathered that the mobile police officer(MOPOL) identified as Barau Garba allegedly raped the little girl till her privates ruptured. Below is a full report on the case written by Journalist, Hassan Haruna Dambatta;

"Maryam Yusuf was just 14years old, an indigene of Kano state living with her parents in Asaba, Delta state. She does attend Islamic school in cable area known as Hausa quarters in Asaba, Delta state.

Maryam was sent by her father to Onitsha from Asaba on 14th of October 2017 to buy round cotton but unlucky for her she lost the money while on transit. During her efforts to identify the vehicle she boarded, while standing by the roadside, she was approached by one corporal Barau Garba (mopol) with service number 275601 from MOPOL 7 Sokoto state who was on a special duty in Anambra, his team were attached with OKPOKO police divisional headquarters, Onitsha.

The rouge police corporal approached the teenage girl asking her of what happened, as the small girl explained to him how she lost her money on transit and her need to go back home, the policeman Barau Garba deceived her by asking her to join him on his motorcycle so that he can take her back home.

Instead of taking the teenage girl back home to her parents safely, this Nigerian police corporal decided to abduct her and took her to a temporary police base and locked her up in his room and maliciously raped her for six (6) good days. This policeman raped this teenage girl until her v*gina raptured.

For these six agonizing days, innocent Maryam was begging him to take her home but he refused. His Waterloo reached its peak when on the 5th day, in the middle of the night the innocent Maryam took his mobile phone and called her father to come to her rescue.

Maryam was taken to hospital on 25th October 2017 (yesterday) by a good samaritan because the police in accord with the DPO of OKPOKO division are not forthcoming with her case. They want to cover up the case, especially as they told the father that the issue have to be forgiven since 'they' both the rouge police corporal Barau Garba and them are all of northern origin.

Attached here is the hospital patient card where innocent Maryam was taken and various tests were conducted, and it was ascertained she was raped beyond human imagination and left with a ruptured v*gina."

Somali president escapes assassination attack in their capital.

Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed on Saturday escaped death after Hotel Naasa-Hablood where he was scheduled to hold a political meeting was attacked by the al-Shabab militant group.

At least 18 people were killed and more than 30 wounded after the militants attacked the hotel close to the presidential palace in Mogadishu, capital of the country.

Two suicide bombers detonated car bombs outside the entrance.

The al-Shabab extremist group claimed responsibility for the attack on the hotel which is frequently used by politicians and other members of the city’s elite.

A third blast occurred when an attacker detonated a suicide vest.

Speaking to The Associated Press by telephone from the scene, Mohamed Hussein, an army captain, said more than 20 people, including government officials, were thought to be trapped as security forces battled extremists holed up on the top floor of the hotel.

Two of the five attackers were killed on the first floor, Hussein said. The others hurled grenades and cut off the building’s electricity as night fell.

A Reuters witness heard a loud explosion and smoke rose over the scene. Ambulance sirens could be heard.

“They are fighting inside. So far we do not have casualty figures,” Abdullahi Aden, a police officer, told Reuters.

The attack comes two weeks after more than 350 people were killed in a massive truck bombing on a busy Mogadishu street–the country’s worst-ever attack.

Al-Shabab often targets high-profile areas of Mogadishu.

Since the blast two weeks ago, the president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has been visiting other countries in east Africa seeking more support for the fight against the group.

A 22,000-strong multinational African Union force in Somalia is expected to withdraw its forces and hand over the country’s security to the Somali military by the end of 2020.

The US military also has stepped up military efforts against al-Shabab this year in Somalia, carrying out nearly 20 drone strikes.

My opinion. I think they're just too young and naive to understand what love is. I think the boy made a very big mistake by tattooing the girls name on his body. My prayer is that he don't live to regret what he did.

This man and his beautiful wife are about to go to the altar on the 11th of next month according to their pre-wedding picture. Unfortunately they're not going to be husband and wife in a church wedding as the man died a day after posting this picture.

Mother of 2 electrocuted on her way to fetch water in Ebonyi state.

There was pandemonium in Ebonyi state yesterday around 8:3pm when this woman was electrocuted by electric wire which 9News Nigeria learnt that it was carelessly left unclad by those maintaining Street light along Udoka hall CAS campus on a path leading to her house.

9News Nigeria gathered that the woman went to fetch water with her little kid when she met her untimely death.

According to an eyewitness who narrated what happened to our correspondent he said that the most painful part of it is that her husband died 2yrs after their marriage leaving her the the 3 kids. The elderest among them is 8 years.

We appeal to government of Ebonyi state to assist those children and recuse them from suffering and also caution those in charge of the street light to remove all the unclad wire which could be found in the along Udoka hall, in Ebonyi state.

Christian student sent packing from his university as a result of his view on homosexuality.

A devout Christian has been thrown off a Sheffield University social work course because of a post he made on Facebook two years ago.

He was accused of posting ‘derogatory’ comments about homosexuals and bisexuals on a Facebook page.

Felix Ngole, of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, lost the case at a High Court. He said he was lawfully expressing a traditional Christian view and complained that university bosses unfairly stopped him completing a postgraduate degree.

Deputy High Court judge Rowena Collins-Rice analysed rival claims at a trial in London earlier this month and ruled against Mr Ngole on Friday.

Mr Ngole said his rights to freedom of speech and thought, enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights, had been breached. But lawyers representing the university argued that he showed ‘no insight’ and said the decision to remove him from the course was fair and proportionate.

A Nigerian man based in South Africa says he does not regret buying a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-class to a South African man as a token to apologise for impregnating his wife.

“I know what I did is wrong but I feel better he has accepted my gift. He accepted that his wife, my girlfriend, is pregnant and will soon give birth to my son. He was angry at first but when I presented the car to him his anger vanished,” said the man who identified herself as John.

One source close to the family of the woman who fell pregnant says she knew about the affair but never thought it would lead to a pregnancy. She says she is disappointed the husband accepted the Mercedes-Benz from the Nigerian national.

“Nigerian men will never take our men seriously. What kind of a man accepts a gift from a man who impregnated his wife? He will impregnate her again and buy the stupid husband another car. I am so disappointed,” she said.

When approached for a comment the husband said “it is wrong to say I am stupid. The point of the matter is we cannot reverse what happened. We sat down as men and sorted the issue. The Bible says we must forgive and forget. I have always dreamed of driving a G-wagon. Christmas came early for me and my family,” said the husband who didn’t want to be named.

“The baby will be born and I’ll take care of him as my own. If the father wants to take him to Nigeria I wouldn’t mind. I will give my wife the support she needs always. That is what marriage is all about. I love my wife and will not leave her because of a mere pregnancy,” he added.

Well yesterday there was a mild drama at Aso Rock the seat of Nigerian president when the leadership of the National Assembly led by the senator president were allegedly subjected to bodily search before they could be allowed to enter the presidential villa.

As the stories goes, the Senate president and his entourage vehemently refused to be search by anybody before and threatened to leave before they were allowed to go see the president.

Well, the executive later met with the legislative arm- though the Senate refused to tell us why they meet and what was discussed, but trust it to be of imporant urgent national issues- and the small rift was probably settle over a plate of what looked like pepper soup. These people are enjoying oo.... presidential pepper soup.

Anyway that is not the purpose of this write up- just want to give you a bit of a background so that you will understand where am coming from.

I recently employed a cook 2 weeks ago who according to him had recently relocated from Abuja. He had full references and ID etcetera. To cut a long story short, a week after he started working, he told my nanny that he specialized in cloning atm/bank cards and replacing real forex with counterfeit so the bosses could not suspect as the card will never be taken out of the house nor the quantity of the money reduce. He basically asked her to look around for any forex, higher denominations the better and take photos of it as well as any atm card she could find preferably not naira.

She told me this a day after and to be honest i wasn’t exactly buying the story but felt it was too ludicrous for her to make up plus he is a rather stellar cook. Plus i had no forex at home. I asked for proof before taking any actions and she proceeded to record their conversations. I also put a recording device in the kitchen unknown to her.

Anyways, she was right. He called several names of other cooks in the lekki/ikoyi/victoria Island neighborhood who were all part of the racket and said almost all the cooks/stewards from Cotonou did it and they have a forex printing plant near seme border.

Lots of cooks called him in the period asking for usd and sterling too from the conversations he had with them
He started putting immense pressure on the nanny saying to help him out and that he’ll share the proceeds with her after paying the forex printer.

Told her he was a millionaire and owned a house and car and she could have so much more to help her mom and family with if she cooperated. Offered to give her bible verses to embolden her as well as take her to his ‘baby’ who will ensure she is never caught.

We decided to set him up and got her a photo of a 100 dollar bill as he asked to see a photo to tell if it was a old or new 100 dollar bill.

Immediately he saw the photo , he called his contact to bring 1000 of the fake bills.
But told her she had to have the original bills ready for her to swap. As i chose to stay home as per the setup, she told him she had not access to my room until i left and she would need to be quick to exchange them. He gave her precise instructions on how to put the ‘fake’ bills into the old bills so nothing looks different.

Meanwhile plain clothes police were waiting for the fake bills to be given to my nanny to arrest him. As luck would have it, the fellow who brought the fake bills stayed close to the gate waiting for the real bills and was arrested first. He still had a bit of fake bills with him. The cook gave the nanny the fake bills which she handed over to me at which point i called the police to come in and arrest him.

He was suitably shocked. So both of them arrestedAccording to them it is a normal thing for them especially anywhere with access to forex. If I didn’t tell my nanny to tell him we had forex, he would have probably quit shortly after and look for employment elsewhere
