It was tears all through as the news of the death of a man identified as Innocent Nduaka popularly know as Maskon General from Ukpor in Anambra state filtered in to the community.
The man was travelling back to Lagos his base in the morning of the fateful day when he rammed into a group of cows moving along the road uncontrolled. He hit his head on the ground and died hours later.
Eyewitness said that the man was on a motorcycle popularly called 'okada' when the bike man suddenly rammed into herds of cows. The okada man sustained injuries while his passenger died hours later.
Speaking with a an eyewitness in Ukpor and who doesn't want his name on print, he lamented on the mayhem caused by cows in the area. "The other time I had to scold one Hausa man that was guiding his cows early in the morning. I was going to Nnewi from Ukpor and he didn't keep his cows off the road rather the animals are moving at will at the middle of the road"
He continued, The government should do something before this gets out of hand. Am not saying they shouldn't go about their business but they should not obstruct other road users"
