A popular human right lawyer has taken to his Facebook page to share a screenshot of his conversation with a woman who was battered by her husband on their way to church.
Read what the woman shared: On our way to church and we had an argument over our house help. Not really serious but he slapped me inside the car in front of the kids. I got angry and asked him why he should do that. I started talking angrily that it's not fair and he slapped me again.
I had to slap him back. This is not the first time but the point is that he always tell me that i can't do anything to him. That he's above the law. We had to go back home cos he has torn my clothes and his too.
On reaching home, he went upstairs and came down again but i was not even in the mood to fight him. I called his boy living with us, the guy was in church and i told him to come back home.
My husband had to call the guy back not to come home or he will pack out from our house.
There was a blocked pap collected from the freezer, i was using it as a pack on my eyes. He collected it from me and pinned me on the ground hitting me with it on the head till the kids shouted blood blood before he stopped.
He just came to my room just now that I should pack my things that he's taking me to mum's without the children. I told him that the kids will go with me.
Meanwhile, i have told my sister and his own sister that he should leave the house for is till everything is sorted out. Am not stepping an inch from this house. He needs to leave after all we own the house. Am trying to avoid the pics cos my in-laws and siblings are part of DPA.
This is serious, while this is absolutely wrong and and should be condemned in all entirety, it's good to hear from the husband. But then, battering a woman is wicked and should never be tolerated.
