JTF operatives shot man in the leg for looting Igbos' shop in Bayelsa state.

Members of the Joint Task Force (JTF) has shot a man in the leg for refusing to return some goods he pilfered from Igbo traders shops that he and his members broke into on Saturday.

He was shot Saturday evening at Biogbolo Ebis Road Yenagoa opposite Ebis Hotel around 4:21pm.

According to Isaac Victor Bakuma who witnessed the incidence and knows what really transpired between the man and the JTF operatives he wrote, I live in Ebis Road and i witnessed this incident from the onset... It wasn't a robbery incident per say but the unfortunate dude was shot cause he was part of a group of the community boys who came to pack goods of Igbo people who were selling after the community had warned that no Igbo person should open his or her shop till further notice.

After the boys had packed goods from a shop and on their way back to the village, The military personel told them to return the goods and they refused which led to him shooting upwards and later shooting this dude cause they challenged him...
This is what happened

For those that don't know why the community stopped Igbo traders from opening their shops, here is why, an Igbo trader was alleged to have taken Bayelsan girlfriend to a hotel room and killed her. The family of the girl are alleging that the Igbo man used her for ritual purpose because some of her vital organs were missing when she was found. This has led some youth in the area to go on rampage, destroying and looting shops known to be owned by Igbo traders.

The question then should be, why would these guy continue to loot people's shop after all these. Why would one persons crime be used to visit a community or a tribe. This is a big shame to this country.
