Deadly bull shark seen on a road in Australia after cyclone Debbie.

Recently, a deadly cyclone hit parts of Australia. The cyclone named Debbie leaves in its wake destruction of both flora and fauna. Some of the badly hit areas include, Brisbane and Queensland where homes were flooded and cars submerged in the ravaging flood. Some rivers also bust their bank, which is not surprising considering that the areas witnessed a torrential rains.

Though all these were expected when there's a cyclone of such magnitude, what was suprising is seeing a deadly bulk shark on a road after the storm. According to BBC, local journalist Phillip Calder was on his way to cover a story, when he discovered the shark, he quickly send out a tweet that read: "The only victim of Burdekin flooding" attaching the picture of the dead shark.

"He must've gotten caught in a torrent and confused, beached himself on the side of the road," Mr Calder said.

"We were pretty amazed, we were turning up to shoot a flooding road, we weren't expecting to see wildlife as well."

Bull sharks are common in the area, with many of them living in nearby creeks and rivers.

The sharks can survive in both saltwater and freshwater and can travel far up rivers. Alongside great whites and tiger sharks, bull sharks are aggressive in nature and are the most likely to attack humans.

Lots of animals have been affected by the cyclone including a bedraggled cockatoo.

The bird - which was named Debbie after the cyclone - was rescued among broken twigs in Queensland on Tuesday but later was found dead.
