7 Hausa/Fulani travellers killed and burnt to death by Tiv bandits in Benue state.

About 7 Hausa/Fulani traveller were burnt to death in Benue state by suspected Tiv bandits. In a Facebook post shared by  Mohammed Mustapha he posted pictures of their charred remains which he said were burnt beyond recognition.

Here are the seven (7) charred bodies of the Hausa- fulani passengers intercepted while travelling in a bus, killed and burning beyond recognition by the Tiv mob in Gboko motor park, Benue state, yesterday.

All the charred bodies have been buried this morning in Gboko according to Islamic rites, the passengers where heading to Yola capital of Adamawa state.

Confirming the reports, the Benue State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, said that seven persons were killed by irate youths in Gboko on Wednesday. Owoseni who disclosed this while briefing newsmen in his office said the victims were said to be travelling either to Okene or Taraba State when criminals attacked, killed and burnt them to ashes.
