Bizzare: Woman convicted of impersonating a man to have sex with her girlfriend.

Dailymail UK is reporting that a woman has been convicted of impersonating a man over two years in an ‘astonishing deception’ to trick her female friend into sex.

Gayle Newland, 27, of Willaston, Cheshire, created a ‘disturbingly complex’ online persona to achieve her own ‘bizarre sexual satisfaction’.

A retrial jury at Manchester Crown Court found her guilty of committing sexual assault by using a prosthetic penis without her victim’s consent.

Newland was jailed for eight years in November 2015 after she was convicted of the same offences by another jury at Chester Crown Court. But the conviction was quashed in the Court of Appeal last December and a retrial was ordered after it was ruled that the trial judge’s summing up of the case was not fair and balanced.

The complainant said she was persuaded by the defendant to wear a blindfold at all times when they met and only found out she was having sex with Newland when she finally took off the mask.

Newland claimed her accuser always knew she was pretending to be Kye Fortune – a Facebook profile she created at the age of 15 using an American man’s photographs and videos – as they engaged in role play while struggling with their sexuality.

She said no blindfold was used as they had sex on about 10 occasions at the complainant’s flat in Chester in 2013. The defendant also told the court she did not strap bandages to her chest or wear a swimsuit and a woollen hat to conceal her appearance.

The defendant spent ‘hundreds’ of hours talking on the telephone to her friend as Kye and more than 100 hours in each other’s company.

These encounters, according to the complainant, included her wearing a blindfold at all times together – including watching television, going on a car journey also wearing sunglasses and even sunbathing.

Prosecutor Simon Medland QC told the jury: ‘This manipulative, deceitful and very crafty young woman went to such astonishing lengths to control the complainant’s life and make her do the things the defendant wanted her to do.’

The verdicts can be reported after reporting restrictions imposed at the start of the retrial were lifted.

Newland was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault and cleared of a fourth count.

See what Lagos did to this man despite his love for the center of excellence.

Read this hilarous analysis of Lagos as given by an Abuja based lawyer.

Lagos does it to me again.

I remember sometime last year when I came to Lagos and had to literally swim through a flood to find my way to court. Since then I have been to Lagos several times and I thought those days are gone for good. I thought Lagos finally decided to be nice to the Ninja Lawyer.

On Tuesday I waited for 5 hours in the Abuja airport before getting to Lagos. A 6pm flight became 7:30pm and finally we took off by 9pm or thereabouts for Lagos. We landed way pass 10pm and by the time I got to Lekki where I will be lodging Wednesday was saying goodbye to Tuesday.

Well, this wasn't entirely Lagos fault, so I didn't allow it affect our relationship. I started questioning my decision to fall in love with Lagos when on my way to court on Wednesday morning I got caught up in a nasty traffic.

I knew it. This traffic will not allow my relationship with Lagos to flourish. I gnashed my teeth throughout the uber ride to court and by the time I got there court was already sitting. Hay God!

Luckily I wasn't late for my matter.

After court, I and Lagos made up. I hooked up with some friends and proteges. We sat out for lunch and a beautiful discussion. Yeah, Lasgidi, this is how to be romantic in a relationship.

Then Lagos...

This morning I booked an uber ride, heads to the airport to catch my 11am flight, then Lagos started happening to me.

My oversabi driver started looking for short cuts to beat traffic. Me, what and where do I know na? I sat down there giving tacit approval: go guy, go; by all means dodge the gaddem traffic!

We negotiated a bend and a massive body of water appeared before us in the middle of a dilapidated street. My driver drove to what he considered the side of the body of water and roared in.

Right in the middle of that big dirty body of water, the engine died without even giving us the respect of coughing the traditional last cough cars cough before they die.

Before you can say Juliet, the car was already flooding. The driver got out and swam to safety leaving me in the car. I was shouting for him to come open the door for me before that bastard realized that he has mistakenly locked me in.

I swam out too. Shoe, trousers and all. We got my laptop bag and suit case out before water could get to it but my other bag in the boot wasn't that lucky. It was dripping water when we brought it out. My court files, my diary, my books are in this bag.

I started to laugh because I wanted to cry.

We paid some guys to push the car out of the water and another uber came to pick me up to the airport. The race to catch my flight began in the wicked Lagos traffic. God even saved me from a terrible accident.

My driver nearly ran into a parked car, thinking it was a moving car. He missed it by the whiskers. Hay God. I begged him to take it easy. It was clear I will miss my flight anyways.

Then I prayed to God for the flight to be delayed. Just as I said "Amen", I got a text: the 11am flight has been shifted to 2pm. If you see the way I celebrated God in that car ehn, the driver just weak.

You may call this coincidence. You might have a scientific or whatever explanation for this occurrence, that one is your own. All I know is that I prayed for that flight to be shifted and it was shifted immediately. Praise God.

But, seriously, those of you who love Lagos, how do you survive in such an abusive relationship?

Shocking: Minister caught urinating in the open

Indian Agriculture Minister Radha Singh was on Thursday caught on camera urinating in public, prompting angry reactions from citizens on social media with some calling for his ouster.

In the photo that has gone viral, Singh was seen peeing on a wall of a compound, while his security guards stood close-by.

Several people took to the social media to criticize the minister’s action which is in sharp contrast to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clean India campaign.

Some have even asked Modi to sack the minister.

“Show him the door” one Twitter user wrote to the prime minister’s official handle, tagging the official accounts of the minister and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah.

However, the erring minister has defended himself, claiming that he was forced to urinate in the open as there was no public toilet nearby on the National Highway 28, where the photo was taken.

This is not the first time that a BJP leader has been caught littering or working against Prime Minister Modi’s flagship Clean India campaign.

Stunt gone wrong! Girlfriend shots her boyfriend dead in a YouTube stunt

A Minnesota woman has been charged over the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, in what authorities say was a social media stunt gone wrong.

Monalisa Perez, 19, was booked into county jail after shooting at Pedro Ruiz as he held a book to his chest, believing it would stop the bullet.

The couple's three-year-old child and nearly 30 onlookers watched as she fired the fatal bullet into his chest.

Ruiz's aunt said they did it to increase their social media following.

Claudia Ruiz said that her nephew had told her he wanted to do the stunt "because we want more viewers, we want to get famous".

"He had told me about that idea and I said, 'Don't do it. Don't do it. Why are you going to use a gun? Why?'" Claudia Ruiz told the news channel. "They were in love, they loved each other," she said. "It was just a prank gone wrong."

Ms Perez, who is pregnant, is facing charges of second degree manslaughter. She faces her first court appearance on Wednesday.

County Attorney James Brue described the book as a hardcover encyclopaedia, and said the weapon used was a .50-calibre Desert Eagle handgun.

Police have seized two cameras, which are said to have recorded Monday's incident.

The single gunshot was fired from about one foot (30cm) away as neighbours gathered to watch outside their Minnesota home.

She told deputies that the stunt had been Ruiz's idea, and that he had to convince her to do it.

The couple had started a YouTube channel in March, aiming to show the "the real life of a young couple who happen to be teen parents".

ODD: Chinese woman throws coins in a airplane engine for good luck.

BBC is reporting that a superstitious elderly passenger delayed a flight in Shanghai after throwing coins at the engine for good luck, a Chinese airline has confirmed.

The 80-year-old woman threw her change at the China Southern Airlines flight as she crossed the tarmac to board.

She told police she launched the coins as she "prayed for safety" on Tuesday.

Of the nine coins launched, only one hit its intended target - but this was enough to force the evacuation of 150 passengers for several hours.

Police were called to Shanghai Pudong International Airport after a passenger noticed the woman's bizarre behaviour, apparently aimed at ensuring a safe flight, and alerted authorities.

The woman, who was travelling with her husband, daughter and son-in-law, was then taken away for questioning by officers.

"In order to make sure the flight is safe, China Southern maintenance has conducted a full examination of the plane's engine," China Southern Airlines said in a statement on the microblogging site Weibo.

Police later shared their findings, which amounted to a single coin with the value of about 1.7 yuan.

"After an investigation the involved passenger, surnamed Qiu, said she threw the coins to pray for safety. According to Qiu's neighbour, Qiu believes in Buddhism," the police said

News of the incident caused a fair amount of turbulence on the social media site Weibo, with one user commenting: "Grandma, this is not a wish fountain with turtles."

Shocking: White South African church barred black people from worshipping with them.

A South Africa’s Church has barred blacks from attending service as the church on Sunday disallowed two black journalists from entering.

The Afrikaanse Protestante Kerk church in Orania, told the journalists “the church is only for whites”.

Orania is an Afrikaans-only South African town located along the banks of the Orange River, in the arid Karoo region of the Northern Cape Province.

The journalists were on an assignment and decided to attend a Sunday service before returning to Pretoria but they were intercepted by a church leader, identified as Mr Theunis Oukamp, at the door.

According to Africa Review, Oukamp said allowing black people into an all-white church would be violating the “rights of Afrikaans people”.

“I am now in a difficult situation. You know that Orania is only for white people, this is why we are here.

“You must understand I know you want to serve God and everything but I have to protect the rights of Afrikaans people. So I cannot let you in, you guys can go to any other church, but this one is only for white people,” Mr Oukamp told the journalists.

Mr Langton Ndlovu, a Christian, described the move as ‘diabolical’.

“This is demonic, in this day and age, I never thought this was real. That’s unacceptable. I wonder how they read the scripture that says “there is neither Greek nor Jew” but we’re one in Christ,” said Mr Ndlovu.

The president of the South Africa Union Council of Independent Churches, Archbishop Modiri Patrick Shole, expressed shock that there was still segregation in the body of Christ, 23 years after apartheid ended.

“We don’t discriminate in church because before God we are one – whether white or black. I find it weird that we still have discrimination in the church,” he said
