Wife stabs husband to death in Ikorodu, Lagos state.

A man has been stabbed to death by his wife, during a fight at their residence in Ikorodu, Lagos state.

According to the wife, who is a teacher and a mother of two, she stabbed him in self defense, after being pinned down by the deceased, who was notorious for always beating her.

When interviewed, the sobbing suspect said: “I didn’t kill him intentionally. He was always battering me. Today, he pinned me down and started beating me again.

I picked the knife to scare him, but I mistakenly stabbed him. I couldn’t have killed my husband intentionally. In the past, I used to run out of the house when being beaten, but today, he locked everywhere to prevent my escape.

My family have told me to divorce him but I didn’t want to, because he is the husband of my youth and we already have two children together. You can ask around, everyone knows he beats me always.”

The wife has since been arrested by policemen attached to the Igbogbo Police Station.

Mobile police shot and kill innocent man at a Lagos hotel.

A man identified as Jude Chemezie, has allegedly been killed by a Mobile policeman attached to Ileviaoje hotel at Ijegun Ikotun, Lagos.

It was gathered that the deceased was heading home after going to buy drinks at the hotel, when the officer just started shooting recklessly, while chasing away some miscreants, and a bullet caught Chemezie in the head.

Biafra sit at home, 25 year old man shot dead by suspected military in Aba, Abia state.

A 25 year old young man Kelvin Nnamdi Ikemeh has allegedly been shot dead today by the persons suspected to be Nigeria military.

Kelvin Nnamdi Ikemeh and his neighbors were sitting outside their premises in Urata by Port Harcourt Road Aba, enjoying the sit at home order while the Nigeria army in their hilux, drove towards them and began to shot sporadically.

 The young men on seeing military attack, ran in different directions. Kelvin Nnamdi Ikemeh ran into a nearby bush unknowing to him that he was on target.

The military chased him, while he was screaming for help, he fell on the ground pleading for them to spare his life. But those army were determined to kill on sight as they shot him point blank.

They continued to shoot, but this time into the air to further scare the neighborhood. As people stood calm in their different hiding places, they dragged his body on the ground into their vehicle and drove off.

Lawmaker slumps and dies while jogging in Calabar, Cross-Rivers state.

A lawmaker representing Obudu Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr. Steven Ukpukpen , slumped and died during an early morning workout on Wednesday.

The incident happened at 7 am, today, along Moore Road in Calabar. He was said to have been rushed to a private hospital where he was certified dead.

89 year old woman acquires a college degree for the first time in her life.

Ella Washington has accomplished a lot in her life. The 89-year-old woman born in rural North Carolina raised 12 children while working a full-time job.

She put her kids through school, but had to put her own education on the back burner.

That changed a few years ago, when Washington decided to enroll at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She finally walked across the graduation stage weeks ago, receiving her associate degree in interdisciplinary studies and next will major in history

Washington dropped out of school in the sixth grade to work on the family farm. When she started a family, she moved to Washington, D.C., and held a variety of jobs.

Washington's daughter says she taught all of her children how to read, write, and do math before they even began school.

At the age of 49, Washington was able to focus on her own education, and enrolled in an adult education program to get her GED diploma in 1978.

A man who name is Praiselove Ujere has taken to his Facebook page to share a story of a woman he met recently who claimed that she give birth to a baby boy after 7 years of pregnancy and at age 62.

A man has been caught in a matrimonial bed of another of his friend having sex with the friends wife in a video that is making the rounds on social media

In the video, the man was stripped naked and he was pleading with those that caught them in the act to spare him.

It seem the man is a serial philanderer as another man was heard saying in Igbo that he destroyed another persons marriage. No words on where this happened.

Naval officer shot and killed a young man at a bar in Imo state.

This is Amadi Chukwuemeka Princewill. On Saturday 26th of May, he went on a sit out with his friends.  While there, one there one Mr Nick Anyanwu (current community  chairman and a re-election candidate) came to the sit out spot with a naval officer and started harassing them.

On seeing that his harrasser is a uniformed man, Chukwuemeka attempted to walk out on him but was dragged back by the naval officer and in the ensuring meelee was shot in the chest, killing him. The naval officer took him to Holy Rosary hospital, Emekuku and dumped him there.

Right now both the naval officer and the Mr Nick Anyanwu current chairman of Ndegbelu community in Akwa Imo state, are at large.

Pls rt this till it get to the relevant authorities. Justice for Chukwuemeka is all we ask.

Armed robber caught in hotel room with stolen goods in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state.

Facebook user, God's time Ombu, has alleged that the photo of this young man below and his gang robbed them, while his members escape, he was unlucky.

He wrote: Breaking news.... Just caught an armed robber @ Biogbolo Yenagoa.
The suspect who claimed to be from Sabagreyai, Kolokuma L.G.A, came to the hotel @ around 11pm, payed for three rooms with his people was operating early in the morning when they raised alarm, we went there and was able to over power him, the rest of his gang escaped, already in his possession was three flat screen television and other items packaged in the garri bag.
He was handed over the the highway patrol team, as law abiding citizens of our dear state we didn't take law into our hands by beating him.

41 year old man remanded in prison for defiling 4 of his daughters in Rivers state.

A 41-year-old man, Michael Akpan-Isaiah, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly defiling his four daughters. The minors are aged between two and 17 years.

Isaiah, from Akwa Ibom State, allegedly committed the offence between April and May at Borokiri Sand Field, Port Harcourt. .

The charge reads: “That you, Michael Akpan Isaiah, sometime in April, 2018, did have unlawful carnal knowledge of (name withheld) without her consent.

That you, Michael Akpan Isaiah, sometime in May, 2018, did have unlawful carnal knowledge of (name withheld) aged 7 years old.” The accused admitted committing the crime, but claimed he was manipulated.

But a Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIDA) representative, Fortune Ada Ndah, dismissed the claims and told the court that he carried out the act in his right senses.

She alleged that the incest had been going on even before the two-year-old he also defiled was born. “The accused has been forcefully sleeping with his daughters for the past three years,” Ndah added.

Chief Magistrate Zinnah Alikor described the act as an abomination, saying it was wicked and devilish. She blamed the mother for encouraging incest by not having a close relationship with her children.

The victims’ mother said she reported to her in-laws when she first noticed the amorous relationship between her husband and their daughters, but lamented that no action was taken. She alleged that her husband threatened and beat her and the children up anytime they complained.

Nigerian man have his U.S. citizenship revoked after court find him guilty of molesting a 7 year old girl.

A Nigerian man was deported Thursday after his U.S. citizenship was revoked in April following his conviction for indecency with a 7-year-old girl, a felony offense which he committed before he was naturalized.

Deportation officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) removed Emmanuel Olugbenga Omopariola, 61, to Nigeria May 24.

He had been in ICE custody in the Dallas area since his arrest on April 18, 2018, when he surrendered himself at the ERO Dallas Field Office. He departed Dallas May 23 under ICE escort to Nigeria via JFK International Airport in New York City. He arrived in Ikeja, Nigeria, about 2:20 p.m.

“This deportation ends this U.S. chapter for Omopariola who sabotaged his own future and opportunities through his heinous crimes against a child, and his lies on his naturalization application and in interviews,” said Simona L. Flores, field office director of ERO Dallas. “By effecting such removals, ICE helps improve public safety and enforces U.S. immigration law.”
Omopariola originally legally entered the United States on March 25, 1983 at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on a nonimmigrant student visa.

According to the April 11, 2018, Consent Judgment by the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, Omopariola was naturalized as a U.S. citizen July 1, 2004. During his naturalization proceedings, Omopariola withheld that he unlawfully engaged in sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl in 2002. This crime, even though he had not yet been arrested or convicted, “…rendered him unable to demonstrate the requisite good moral character for naturalization and, thus, ineligible for naturalization when he took the oath of allegiance…He therefore illegally procured his naturalization.”

After he was naturalized, Omopariola pleaded guilty in Texas state court in 2015 to indecency with a child — sexual contact, a second-degree felony. He was ordered to five years of community supervision and placed on the sex offender registry. He had been residing in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Police arrests a young man for being slim and indecent act in Lagos.

A young stylist has allegedly been arrested by the Nigerian police and detained for 7 hours in Lagos for looking slim and being gay.

So this morning by 9am, I was on my way to style someone at Ogudu, I entered a public transport and was stopped by a guy at Ojota who asked me to introduced myself I asked why he said his police, they asked for my ID card I showed them, then he said I look like a girl and that was it they started yelling and calling me names then they took me and put me in their bus, took me all the way from Ojota to IWAYA POLICE POST then I asked what my offence was, they said I look like GAY, INDECENT ACT and I'm too SLIM. I was locked up from 9am - 4pm before they release me. Please since when did been slim become an offence in LAGOS. I was unjustly maltreated today by the POLICE and I demand justice.

Catholic priest shot as Fulani herdsmen sacks seminary school in Taraba state.

Two Catholic priests were beaten, one shot in the leg when gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Jauro yinu, Jalingo, Taraba State, in the early hours of today.

During the attack, some students were injured and many cars destroyed. While the persons injured were said to be receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, it is not yet clear if people were killed.

A man who want to commit suicide has climbed on top of electricity pole and refused to come down even with the promise of 1 million naira. The incident happened at a popular restaurant in PH.

A ghastly auto crash involving a Passat Wagon and Toyota Tundra in Abia state on the early hours of Saturday has killed all passengers on board. The accident happened at Ndiojiaku Abam in Arochukwu LGA.

It was learnt that all the passengers aboard the Passat Wagon died while the driver of the Toyota Tundra escaped.

Man calls out couple who are professional beggars in Lagos.

Twitter user @PromiseEbitu has called out a couple who specializes in duping people through alms begging. He said that he encountered them years back pleading that they need money to pay for their child's medical treatment.

He wrote, 3 years ago I met this couples at Ikeja City Mall crying and begging me for alms that their sick baby is dying in the hospital and needed N75,000. I gave out N25,000 being sympathetic about the child. Today I met this same couples again with the same story line.


Continuing he said, The driver of that Honda you're seeing in the picture had to wind up to avoid their annoying attitude. I'd to pull over so I can confirm they were the ones and to be sure of what they where doing.

1 pupil died and 21 others injured when lightening struck their school in Kenya.

A pupil has been killed and 21 others taken to hospital after being struck by lightning in Kakamega County.

The Class Eight pupil at Ebushibo Primary School in Navakholo sub-County died at the home of a retired nurse where she was rushed for first aid treatment.

The 21 pupils who sustained minor injuries were taken to Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Ebushibo Primary School head teacher Agneta Wawire said the incident occurred at around 6pm at Esumeiya Primary School where pupils were participating in a sporting event.

“We had just finished school cluster ball games with Eshienga Primary School when it started raining heavily. The pupils went to take shelter at the classrooms when the lightning struck”, said Ms Wawire.

The school head teacher has asked the government to install more lightning arrestors to prevent such incidents.

Heart breaking! Unknown killer forced twin boys into a fridge and lock them up to die.

With tears, I read in two posts how these two twin brothers were killed by 'unknown' killer(s), who forced them inside a freezer, locked them up till they were found dead. This happened in Egbu, Otolo Nnewi, Anambra state.

They only came back from school yesterday, greeted their mother who sells something in front of the compound and their mother told them to climb upstairs to change their clothes only for the parents to start looking for them, then noticed that their freezer was locked, open it to find them dead inside the freezer.

Kidnapper caught with 2 children in Imo state.

A suspected children kidnappers were caught by the eagle eyed vigilante in Imo state. The incident happened in Ihiagwa, Owerri West local government.

The story was shared by Nwogu Chukwudi Prince C and he wrote, 'about some hours ago, a man was Caught with two children he kidnapped. Kudos to Ihiagwa vigilante group in Owerri West.

No words if the kidnapped siblings are of the same parents.

The video started from where one of the guys was having a quarrel with the white guys and before you knew it, the white guy shoved him and all hell was let loosed.

A SARS officer has been killed by suspected assassins, just 10 days after his traditional wedding in Khana, Rivers state.

According to reports, Michael Maji a.k.a Mike SARS, who left behind a pregnant wife, was gunned in his in-laws community, the same place where he did the wedding.

Army deserters arrested for armed robbery and rape in Oyo state.

Two military personnel and another, who deserted the Army, for criminal activities have been arrested by the Oyo State police command.

Private Azeez Olaide (22) serving in 202 Battalion, Bama, Maiduguri, Borno State and Ibrahim Lawal (22), who deserted from the Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria, Kaduna State in 2014 were nabbed for kidnapping, robbery and rape.

But a naval rating, Lance Corporal Jimoh Adesoye (28), was arrested for armed robbery, using his uniform to transport vehicles snatched by his gang to dispose them off.

Olaide along with his accomplices, Ibrahim Lawal and Kehinde Adeniji (29), abducted a man, Rasak Michael, and his girlfriend, Rashidat, at Mobil area, Oluyole, Ibadan, on April 31 about 5p.m.

They took the victims to KSA Hotel in New Garrage, where they were kept till the next day. While in captivity, the suspects took turns to rape the female victim and videotaped the sexual escapade for purpose of blackmail in future.

Olaide said: “It happened that we raped a girl and collected her money worth N145,000 and I transferred the money into my account.

We recorded it. We just did it for fun; we did not mean to do anything with the video in the future. I am a serving soldier and I am the one that usually give my friends soldier camouflage to use during our operations.”

On his part, Adesoye confessed said: “I know what I did was wrong, but it was Satan that led me into it.”
