Former finance minister of Zimbabwe Ignatious Chombo in court today after he was caught with USD10 million cash at his house in early morning raid by military police. Finance Minister Chombo escaped death by a whisker after the Army exchanged gunfire with his personal security at his house.
Minister Chombo is believed to be seriously injured after spending over a week in Army jail, he was blind folded all the time & would receive a thorough beating.
He was dumped at his house & was picked up by Police within a short period of time. Minister Chombo is now in Police custody & has now been officially charged with corruption or stealing $3.6 million.
