7 person reportedly killed in a protest gone awry in Togo

Hundreds of thousands of Togolese were in the street today in 11 cities worldwide including 5 in Togo to demand the reinstatement of the 1992 constitution which included term limits, diaspora votes and two rounds elections.

They were met with an extreme repression and protesters were shot with real bullets. 7 people reportedly lost their lives in Togo.

Numerous people are wounded and tens of them have been arrested. The protesters retaliated and arrested 7 soldiers that they have refused to release.
