Slime eels caused traffic on a U.S. highway.


Slime eels have caused hold up during rush hour traficc on a high way in Oregon's high way.

Slime eels, also known as "hagfish," were to blame for the midday car pile up according to report by CNN.

They said that 13 containter of slime eels weighing over 7000 pound spill oon the highway when the driver of the truck hit the brake to avoid collision with a construction site.

One person was injured when the accident happened. Pictures of the accident show hundreds of live slime eels sliding down the road in a thick, white goo.

According to report, the slime eel is meant for shipment to South Korea where it's a delicacy.

Eels when captured or stressed secretes the microfibrous slime, which expands into up to 20 litres of sticky, gelatinous material when combined with water according to Wikipedia.
