Catholic priest shot dead by unknown gunmen in Abuja.

A Catholic priest of the Abuja Archdiocese was yesterday shot dead by unknown gunmen as he was about going to a supermarket.

Ehi Samson Light who shared the tragic story on his Facebook wall wrote, Rev Fr Michael Akawu (Gwagwalada Deanery CYON CHAPLAIN) was shot DEAD yesterday at Uche best super market in park road, Gwagwalada, Abuja.


Reverend father Akawu is the first Abuja indigene to be ordained a priest  for the Abuja Catholic Archdiocese (according to information from a reliable source) He was ordained last year2017.
