Catholic nun shot on the leg by the Cameroonian army in the southern part of the country.

A wild coincidence has occurred within the Anglophone Catholic Community. National Telegraph has gathered that the Cameroon Military has shot and wounded a Rev. Sister in Njinikom, a war torn town in  the North West in the English-speaking Cameroon. Sr. Roberta, a Calasanzian Sister of Daughters of the Divine Shepherdess has been shot on the leg.

She came to see her family in Njinikom and on going back, shooting began. She would enter a house to hide before soldiers came in front of the house shooting, hitting her leg with bullets, National Telegraph has been told. Reports say she's in a nearby infirmary receiving treatment.

This is happening at a time when Catholic Christians are preparing for the burial of one of their priests, Friday August 10, 2018. Rev. Fr. Alexander Sob was shot and killed in the war torn town of Muyuka in South West Cameroon by the Cameroon military, Friday July 20, 2018. Before his death, he was Parish Priest of Bomaka and had also served as the Education Secretary of the Buea Diocese.

At least, 26 Roman Catholic Priests have either been shot dead, wounded, molested or forced to flee their parishes by the Cameroon military. Fr Innocent Okeke, a Priest from Awka Diocese in Anambra State, Nigeria, on secondment to Mamfe Diocese who is now Parish Priest of Holy Name of Jesus Parish,  Ossing in South West Cameroon was stripped naked by soldiers. The Man of God was arrested in front of the church around 7am after Morning Mass on Friday July 6, 2018 and brought with other arrestees to neighbouring Mamfe in a military truck only in pants.
