Angry mob set vehicle on fire for hitting a mother and her baby in Delta state.

Angry mob in Sapele, Delta state has burnt down a sports utility vehicle own by yet to be identified man for hitting a woman and her child on the street. The child died on the spot.

According to Sapele Oghenek who shared the story on his Facebook wall, the man who was driving a Dogde SUV was on a high speed when he hit the woman at Okirighwre area of Sapele.

The mob who rushed to the scene notice that the baby has died but the woman is still alive and they quickly rushed her to hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle who hit the mother and her daughter took to his heels when the accident happened and the crowd pursue him and when they could not catch up with him, they came back and set his  vehicle on fire.

Men of the Nigerian police and the army who arrived at the scene could not do much to rescue the vehicle as it has already started burning. Report has it that the car is worth over 5million naira.
