Car crashed into a busy market in UK.


Two people have been injured after a car crashed through market stalls and into a lorry in Buckingham.

A woman had to be rescued from inside the car while a pedestrian was also injured.

Police said they were called to Market Square just before 8.50am and the driver is described as being elderly.

Thames Valley Police said in a statement: ‘The ambulance service is in attendance and it is believed there are at least two people injured.

‘Many of the market stalls were damaged during the collision.’

Witness Raimonda Barauskaite said: I heard a very loud noise and thought something horrible had happened. ‘I looked outside and the whole market had gone.’

A spokesman for Bucks Fire and Rescue service told Mix 96: ‘Firefighters assisted South Central Ambulance Service with casualty care after a car struck a lorry, Market Square, Buckingham.



‘One appliance and crew from Buckingham, one from Winslow and two officers attended. Two women – the car driver and a pedestrian were injured
