3 persons killed in an early morning road accident in Lagos state.

3 persons were reported dead when a bus traveling from the eastern part of country to Lagos had an accident in Lagos in the early hours of the morning.

In a post shared on a popular group on Facebook, Prince Omoha Nduka who was in the bus and survived the accident wrote, "Join me and thank God for saving i and my Friend life from this ghastly motor accident this morning around 4:35 AM.  Along Berger express way lagos. About 3 persons died and many injured. But could you believe i was asleep when this bad accident that claims life's of many occurred. But i my friend came out unhurt. The devil is a liar. I shall not die prematurely in Jesus name Amen. God id great"

LASU student rescued from the lagoon by the water authority angry about the rescue.

Kingsley Gabriel a student of Lagos state university on Monday, jumped into the Lagoon from Falomo Bridge, in a bid to commit suicide.

However, he was quickly rescued from drowning by Lagos State Waterways Authority, LASWA, officials who responded swiftly to the incident.

In a video shared by instablog9ja he was heard saying that they should leave him alone as this life is not worth living.

Gabriel was later taken to the Falomo Police Station. It is not clear why he decided to end his life.

Fulani herdsmen now graze their cattles at the National Assembly.

Some cows were seen this morning grazing in the National Assembly. In a video shared on Twitter by @segalink he asked if Nigerian herdsmen are now above the law.

He wrote, "This is not a Farm Distinguished, but our National Assembly. It is alleged that the Herders have been cleared from above to graze here. Recall the last assault with the heist on the Mace? Are Herdsmen above the Law?! "

Look at what a man and his wife did to this small boy staying with them

Ifeanyi Akpa, a male and indigene of Onicha Igbeze of Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, who resides in Osubi Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, was arrested today and handed to the police by Osubi community for the severe beating of his nephew, Chigozie Ogbu, 13 years old, who is living with him.

Comrade Friday Okpako, Osubi youth president, who alerted Orerokpe police, said there were several report by neighbours of severe maltreatment and corporal punishment melted on the boy daily, by Mr Akpa and his wife Mrs Ngozi Akpa, who has four (4 ) children from the marriage.

According to an eye witness, “Chigozie does all the domestic work in the house, sells pure water during the day and yet they won’t allow the poor boy to have his peace”. He added that the boy has rounded up his primary education yet they refused to enroll him for secondary school. He also said the boy is very intelligent.

The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, who is also the community leader, who was on his way from Sunday service, met the situation and immediately directed that the boy should be taken to the hospital for proper treatment from the serious injuries inflicted on him.

When he was asked to stand he could not, because of the excruciating pains from his swollen back.

The police later whisked Mr Akpa to Orerokpe police station.

Man nabbed and paraded for stealing a pregnant she goat in Anambra state.

A young man who specializes in stealing domestic animals from villagers have been caught and paraded in the village after stealing a pregnant she goat.

In a report by Nationalhelm, the incident happened in Ekwulobia Aguata local government of Anambra state. The young man was caught by Umuchiana village vigilante group as he was about to go the home of the buyer of the goat after stealing the goat.

He was alleged to have removed the goat from its tethers, tied it on his motorcycle and was on his way to sell his loot before he was nabbed by the eagle eyes security men. He was paraded by the men with the goat tied to his waist amidst jeers from the villagers and onlookers.

He was later handed over  to the police.

Over 106 persons reportedly killed in herdsmen attack in Plateau state.

At 12:00 noon this afternoon (Sunday 24th June 2018), the death toll from the Gashish district killings had reached one hundred and six (106).

Thirty one (31) corpses were recovered from Gindin Akwati (i.e, Ex-lands), thirty four (34) from Gana-Ropp, 8 from Shonong and the balance (33) from small villages (e..g, Razat, Ruku, Nghar, Tanabu, Tisan, Kakuruk etc) in the vicinity.

And at the time of filing this report, it was again reported that herdsmen had gone, re-grouped and were emanated from the Kurra axis, advancing towards Barkin Ladi main town. Sporadic gunshots and the sounds of rapid automatic weapons could be heard in the distance, as residents scampered for safety.

The onslaught and killings which started late on Friday has now been sustained for over 60 hours (2.5 days) non-stop. Operatives of the STF and other security apparatus appear overpowered and unable to forestall the killings.

Investigations revealed that all churches in the entire Gashish axis were empty on Sunday morning -as worshippers stay away for fear of being attacked.

Reports also suggest that there is a “mass casualty situation” at the Accident and Emergency Unit of Jos University teaching hospital, with many who are critically injured requiring quick assistance. As such a plea is being put out for all doctors and health personnel who may be on leave to return and assist

Shocking! Husband clubbed his wife to death in Anambra state.

A woman has been clubbed to death by husband in Anambra state all because of money. In a post shared on his Facebook wall, Chinaechendo Nelly said that the man clubbed the woman to death with a pestle while she was sleeping after a disagreement over money in the evening. The incident happened in Oraifite Ekwusigo local government of Anambra state.

Army captain commits suicide in Maiduguri, Borno state.

A yet to be identified captain in the Nigerian army deployed to fight the Boko Haram insurgent has pulled a trigger on himself.

In a report by Premium times, they reported that the incident happened on June 18 at the 7 Division Medical Centre in Maiduiguri which is the hot bed of the dreaded group.

The said army captain was reported to have positioned his rifle close to his stomach and fired a shot. He was rushed to the same hospital for treatment and was confirmed death.

It was reported that before the army officer shot himself that he has threatened to shot a shopkeeper who fled for his life.

Bricklayer had 3 nails hammered into his head for demanding for his pay.

A 28-year-old man identified as Robert Muchangi, from Meru County, Kenya, is in a coma at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), after two nails were hammered into his skull. 

The doctors have managed to pull the four-inch nails out of his head but he was still in critical condition on Monday.

According to Standardmedia, Muchangi, a bricklayer, was attacked in Kabuitu, last Wednesday, by a man suspected to have offered him a building job at his home. 

Muchangi had reportedly gone to see the man to demand his dues. Kaunga, the witness who rushed the victim to hospital after the attack, said Muchangi spoke to him about the assault before he lost consciousness. 

He said an X-ray was conducted the next day and the report indicated that Muchangi's skull and brain were injured. Kitheo Sub-Location Assistant Chief Sabastian M’Iruri said they had launched a search for the suspects.

It's been in the news all these while, we learned that Donald Trump, the president of United States of America has deported some parents who has illegally entered the country and forcefully taking the children who were born in the states. The children were kept in a shelter home which has generated outrage and condemnation all over the world.

After the public outcry, President Trump has signed an executive order stopping the unpopular policy and the First lady Melanie has visted a shelter home in Texas where the children were being kept to ascertain the situation. The visit was seen as making up for President Trump gaffee in starting the separation in the first place.

Meet this blind man that teach Maths and Physics in Anambra.

Meet Ofochebe Tochukwu, a blind teacher from Adazi-Ani in Anaocha L.G.A. of Anambra state who teaches at Urban Girls Secondary school, Ekwulobia, Aguata LGA. Anambra state.

He is a renowned author of about 15 publications including a mathematics textbook and a novel titled 'Voice of Reasoning'.

He has been blind for over 20 years, though according to him, he had residual sight before he started teaching. As a matter of fact, he teaches Mathematics, Physics and sometimes Chemistry.

When asked how he relates with his students, he answered that he has grown to adopt the situation and his students can relate with him well in the class room.

I met him at the Google Digital marketing skills for Africa sponsored by the Anambra state ministry of education and I was inspired.

He doesn't have his sight, yet, he has been able to do all these. What of you and me? We have complete hands, complete legs and sound sight, therefore , We can do better!
