Catholic archbishop of Owerri attacked by political thugs at a church burial in Imo state. Video

All hell broke lose today at St Micheals Catholic church Ngwoma Obube during the funeral mass of the mother of Chief Alex Mbata when supporters of Uche Nwosu under the aegis of Ugwumba Movement almost assaulted the Catholic Archbishop, Most Rev AJV Obinna right at the altar.

Trouble started when AJV urged worshippers to ensure that they get their voters cards and also used the opportunity of the presence of Uche Nwosu and Nkechi Okorocha in the church to remind them of the bad roads in the state reminding them that Alex Mbata singlehandedly built a 10km road for his people that enabled everybody to come for the funeral.

One of Uche Nwosu's lackey tried to defend the government claiming they were building roads but a man from the audience came and urged the church to vote for change in 2019.

This infuriated Jeff Nwoha the Entraco boss and  Okaaomeen'oru Chris as they led their thugs to storm the vestry in an attempt to take the microphone from the Archbishop and possibly manhandle him.

Archbishop Obinna moved away to avoid them as they rained insults and threats on him at the full glare of the church. It took some priests and Christian fathers present to block the entrance to the vestry where the Archbishop was blocking Jeff and his goons from getting their hands on Archbishop Obinna and dealing with him.

Surprisingly Uche Nwosu and Nkechi Okorocha both Catholics sat relaxed watching the drama play out without raising their voice to caution Jeff. One would think they even wanted Jeff to deal with Archbishop Obinna.

This is the second time Okorocha's aides will be attacking the Catholic church. Is this a prelude of what to expect in 2019 when it you talk you die? If Jeff will have no fear to attack Archbishop Obinna then who will he be afraid of attacking to make sure they force Uche Nwosu's devilish ambition on our people?
